Q. Why do many of modern detergents contain enzymes? A.
Most detergents used in the past only separated dirt from clothes and did not dissolve the dirt itself. However, enzymes function to dissolve the dirt. Therefore, using detergents with enzymes cleans clothes better. Yet, no one enzyme dissolves all types of soiled clothes. For example, there are protein-dissolving enzymes and fat-dissolving enzymes. |
