A. A cellular phone receives and transmits the human voice in the form of a radio signal. Analog phones receive and transmit the radio signal as it is. Background noise that occurs in the middle of a conversation is also transmitted. Digital cell phones convert your voice into binary information (1s and 0s) and those transmissions are better able to eliminate background noise.
